On July 15, the signing ceremony for the contract of the unit and auxiliary equipment procurement project of Shaanxi Shahe Pumped Storage Power Station (4×350MW) was grandly held at PowerChina (Hanzhong) Energy Development Co., Ltd. in Mian County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. Relevant leaders including Li Dongfeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director and General Manager of PowerChina Hydroelectricity Third Bureau; Mei Xiaoning, Legal Representative and Chairman of PowerChina (Hanzhong) Energy Development Co., Ltd.; and Zheng Huaiyong, Vice President of Zhefu Holding Group Co., Ltd. and General Manager of Hydropower Company, attended the signing ceremony and witnessed this important moment.

Li Dongfeng extended congratulations to Zhefu Company on its successful bid. He emphasized that Shahe Pumped Storage Power Station is the first "investment-construction-operation" whole-industry-chain project of PowerChina Hydroelectricity Third Bureau, which has significant strategic significance. He also required Zhefu Company to attach great importance to the production of project equipment, give full play to its own advantages, strictly control the quality, and work together with PowerChina Hydroelectricity Third Bureau to build the project into a demonstration project in the field of pumped storage.

Mei Xiaoning stressed that both parties should effectively strengthen close cooperation, strictly control process standards, ensure high-quality manufacturing and on-schedule delivery of equipment, guarantee the installation and commissioning of units, and achieve the established goals of the project.

Zheng Huaiyong expressed gratitude to PowerChina Hydroelectricity Third Bureau for awarding the unit and auxiliary equipment procurement project of Shaanxi Shahe Pumped Storage Power Station (4×350MW) to Zhefu Company. He believed that PowerChina Hydroelectricity Third Bureau, with its rich experience in water conservancy and hydropower engineering, will undertake the civil engineering and installation works of the power station and ensure the efficient progress of the project. Meanwhile, as one of the domestic manufacturers of core equipment for pumped storage, Zhefu Company will provide independently developed high-reliability units and technical services for the project. He emphasized that winning the bid for the Shahe project is of great significance to the development of Zhefu Company, and promised to deliver the unit equipment as scheduled, do a good job in service, and provide a solid guarantee for the early operation of the project.

Shaanxi Shahe Pumped Storage Power Station is located in Mian County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province, with an installed capacity of 1400MW. It will be equipped with 4 sets of 350MW vertical-axis single-stage single-speed reversible mixed-flow hydro-generator units. After completion and commissioning, it will undertake the tasks of peak shaving, valley filling, energy storage, frequency and phase modulation, and emergency backup for Shaanxi Power Grid. In accordance with the overall plan of Shahe Pumped Storage Power Station, the main works of the project have started, and the power station is scheduled to be put into commercial operation by the end of 2028.
